Alan Threlkeld, lifelong Cincinnatian, devoted father, and loyal friend passed away April 16, 2022, at the age of 74. A graduate of Mariemont High School and Cumberland College, Alan spent the majority of his career in management with Standard Oil. He later became the owner/operator of the Fort Thomas BP, as well as The Grocery Bag convenience store in Taylor Mill, KY. It has often been said that Alan “never met a stranger,” winning over those he encountered with his friendly demeanor, sparkling eyes, and infectious smile. Alan had a love for animals, especially his beloved greyhound, Scout. He had a passion for cars, and always loved his Cincinnati Bengals (though probably more when they were winning.) But his greatest joy was found in being a father to his two daughters, Amy and Lauren. In addition to his daughters, Amy Goodwin and Lauren Regner, Alan is survived by his two grandchildren, James & Elizabeth Regner, Son in Law, Bryan Regner, and his former wife and dear friend, Beverly Sue Peace. He will be deeply missed. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at Vine Street Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Cincinnati, or Cincinnati Animal CARE Humane Society.
