Alice J. Lavery

LAVERY, Alice J. of Mason and Lake Lorelei, OH, Passed away Monday August 27th, 2007 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Alice lived most of her life in the Dayton, Canton and Cincinnati areas and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in journalism in 1984. She spent most of her professional career working in human resources. Alice will be lovingly remembered as a rare person who shared her amazing joy for life with all she met. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family at their Lake Lorelei home, which was usually filled with friends. She was an advocate for animals and will be missed by her beloved dachshunds. Alice cherished her family and friends above all and delighted them with her gifts as a pianist and story teller. Alice could find humor in all things, even her illness, which she faced without ever looking for blame or pity. Those who knew Alice will forever feel fortunate to have had her in their lives. In addition to her legions of loving and devoted friends, Alice is survived by her life partner Karen Kennedy, her two daughters, Emily and Kelsey Kramp, her step-daughter Caroline Kennedy, and her parents, John and Blanche Lavery of Sylvania, OH. Memorial services will begin 10am, Saturday, September 1st at Christ the King Lutheran Church in West Chester. In lieu of flowers those planning a memorial tribute are asked by Alices family to consider the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the Humane Society of your choice.
