Alice L. Mcgowan

Alice L. McGowan, beloved wife of the late DeLancy E. McGowan, friend of the late Robert Lamb, passed away May 18, 2019. Devoted mother of two daughters and two sons-in-law; proud grandmother of four grandchildren and their spouses; great-grandmother of six grandchildren and two step grandchildren; great-great grandmother of two step grandchildren; and, loving sister to her surviving older brother.

Alice loved her family, her friends, and her kitty cat dearly. She was a graduate of Muskingum (College) University, an avid reader, a Girl Scout leader, a teacher, an editor, a golfer, a traveler, but her passion was playing Bridge. It was said that "at the bridge table, Alice was a riverboat gambler, pushing her hand to the limit." She attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church for over thirty years during the time she was a resident of Terrace Park, Ohio.

Memorial services will be held later at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Alice's memory may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at www.mda.org.
