Allen "Al" J. Fritsch, a beloved member of his community, passed away on September 3, 2025, at Bethesda North. He was born on April 12, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Augustus and Adelaide Fritsch. Al lived a life dedicated to service, both in his career and in his personal endeavors.
After proudly serving his country in the United States Army as a Korean War Veteran, Al transitioned into a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), retiring after an impressive 30 years of dedicated service.
Al was an active member of the St. Andrews Parish, where he contributed significantly to the community by heading up the Rosary Program. His commitment to his faith and his church was a testament to his character and the values he upheld throughout his life.
In addition to his professional and community accomplishments, Al was a passionate fan of the Cincinnati Reds. He cherished the moments spent watching games, sharing the excitement with friends and family, and supporting the team he loved.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Theresa A. (née Kendrick) Fritsch, as well as his stepson, Dennis Sledge. Al’s legacy continues through his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will remember him fondly for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Augustus and Adelaide Fritsch, and his siblings—Vera Wilking, Anthony Fritsch, and Joseph Fritsch. Their memories will surely live on through the stories and lessons Al shared with those around him.
