Allen Coy Boothby

Allen Coy Boothby of Williamsburg, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born February 2, 1943, to the late Eddie and Alice Boothby.

Allen is survived by his wife of 64 years, Donna L. (née Rice) Boothby; his children: Deborah (Dave) Doyle of Williamsburg, Ohio, Allen (Kelly) Boothby of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Dodie Benjamin of Hamersville, Ohio, and Herbert Boothby of Mt. Orab, Ohio; his grandchildren: Allison, Anna, Darren, Gabrielle, Sophia, McKenna, and Molly; his great-grandchildren: Jayne, Christian, Elijah, Jensen, Addysen, Leah and Logan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his siblings: Carroll Boothby, Darrel Boothby, Mary Jo Hall, Roger Boothby and Kathy Hile.

Allen retired from General Motors after 30 years. He was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church, Clermont Social F&AM Lodge 29, O.E.S. Celestine Chapter 185, O.G.C.A. as well as being a past Williamsburg Township Trustee. Allen was a faithful Bible reader and an avid padlock collector. He loved hunting, fishing and trapping. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and sharing his bounty.

Funeral service 1 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 330 Gay Street, Williamsburg, Ohio 45176. Family and friends will be received at the church from 11 AM until the time of service. Pastor Dare Stevens officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
