It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Annette Megie (née Dick), who left the world to be with her maker in Heaven, on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on August 18, 1961, to Carmileta Kimbrell of Middletown, Ohio and the late Curtis Dick, Annette was a treasured daughter, beloved wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, dear sister, adored aunt and a talented cosmetologist who enriched the lives of many through her craft.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, David Megie; beloved daughter, Chelsea Masarweh and son-in-law Nader Masarweh; her cherished grandchildren: Isabelle and Oliver Masarweh; her dear sister, Jeannie Hull and brother-in-law, DeLon Hull; her dear brother, Roy Dick; and her adored nephew, Ryan Hull. Annette's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Annette, a beloved cosmetologist, dedicated over 45 years to her craft and community in the Warren County area. Her warmth extended far beyond the salon chair; she treated colleagues and clients alike as cherished members of her own family. Annette embodied the true spirit of friendship, celebrating the successes and joys of those around her with infectious enthusiasm, and offering a comforting shoulder and listening ear through life's challenges, regardless of how long she had known someone. Indeed, Annette knew no strangers, often saying, "Once you're my friend, you're my friend for life".
Her commitment to service shone brightly through her active membership at North Star Community Church in Loveland, Ohio, where she generously volunteered her time and talents, including providing haircuts at the Care Center for those in need. Last December, she embarked on a mission trip to Jamaica with close friends, exemplifying her adventurous spirit and dedication to helping others. Over the years, Annette also enriched the lives of many young people as a Girl Scout Leader, Church Youth Leader, Girls Softball Coach, and Cheer Mom. Her love for animals, passion for gardening, and enjoyment of the outdoors, whether camping or boating, were also hallmarks of her vibrant personality. She even left her mark as a Little Miami Track star.
Annette's ability to "bring the fun," coupled with her unwavering empathy and compassion, will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness, friendship, and dedication to service will continue to inspire and touch the lives of countless individuals.
The family will honor Annette's memory with a Celebration of Life at 6 PM , Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Fellowship Baptist Church 247 E. U.S. 22 & 3, Maineville, Ohio 45039. Friends and family are invited to gather together to celebrate the life and spirit of Annette from 4 PM until the time of service. A meal will be provided after the service.
In this time of sorrow, we invite all who knew and loved Annette to join us in remembrance and reflection, as we honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, forever held in the hearts of those she loved.
