Avis Kean

Avis (Jake) Kean, A unique and very special person passed away on Saturday May 19. He had been ill for some time. His death was not unexpected but a great loss to everyone who knew him. There are as many stories about Jake as there are hours in a year and he will be missed. He was the 4th son of Hugh and Edna Kean both deceased. Born Aug 7th 1934 in Russell Springs, Ky. His brother, Wm. Shelby (Buster) and sisters LaVerne (Midge) Johns and Brenda Shirley also preceded him in death. He has been awaiting the time when he could join his wife Patricia and his beloved daughter Tina Annette both of whom he had lost recently. Surviving relatives are grandchildren, Mark, Joey, and Trisha Wagers. Crystal (a devoted friend) who deserves a special thank you. Three great grandchildren, Tyler Shane, Jacob, and Chauncey Wagers. Siblings, Everett Roy, Gilbert Gail, Sadie Marie, Jennye Lynn, and Donald Hugh. Also many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service is planned for Saturday at 10 a.m., May 26th, at the Craver-Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory in Milford, Ohio. Internment to follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, or the charity of your choice.
