Betty M. Gatch

Betty Mae (nee Pitzer) Gatch, passed into eternal life on Monday, August 3, 2009 at the age of 80 years. She was born September 16, 1928 in Brown County, Ohio to Robert C. and Amanda Matilda "Tillie" Pitzer. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Earl Gatch, an adult sister, Goldie Leggett, four infant sisters and her parents. She leaves two children, Galen Gatch and wife Bessie and Pamela (nee Gatch) Hauck and husband Lloyd; three grandchildren, Mark Gatch and wife Annie, Eddie Hauck and wife Sheila and Juli Hauck; five great-grandchildren, Shelby and Brittany Hauck, Courtney Hauck, Shaylee and Aiden Gatch; also two nephews, Keith and Kevin Leggett and brother-in-law William "Bill" Leggett.

Betty married in 1949 and lived in the Mt. Orab area all her life enjoying her family, farm and garden as well as her church and volunteer work.

Funeral service will be held 1 PM Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Megie Funeral Home, 104 Spice Street, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154 where friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of service.

She will remain in the Mt. Orab area interred in the Mt. Orab Cemetery on August 7, 2009.
