Betty L. Hines

Betty L. Hines, 92, of Mt. Orab, passed away on Oct. 20, 2014. Betty was born in Fivemile, Ohio on Oct. 7, 1922 to Maude and Virgil Minnick. She was the eldest daughter of five siblings.

Betty was married to William T. Hines on June 1, 1945. They were married for 54 years. Together they had seven children. Betty worked varied jobs outside of the home throughout her life, but none greater than in the home as that of "Mother"! She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and many other "domestic engineering" hobbies.

Over the course of her life, Betty volunteered for various organizations from American Cancer Society to School PTA to Order of the Eastern Star. Betty is survived by Marc A. Hines, Melissa Y. Patrick (née Hines), Marlin M. Hines, Matthew R. Hines and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Hines and sons, Michael T. Hines, Maxwell L. Hines and Walter M. (Monroe) Hines.

Funeral services 1 PM Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Megie Funeral Home, 104 Spice Street, Mt. Orab, OH. Burial Mt. Orab Cemetery.
