Billie "Bill" J. Hembree

Billie (Bill) Joel Hembree 84 of Goshen Ohio passed from this life on August 19th, 2022. Bill was born on August 28th, 1937, in Hazard County Kentucky. He was born to the late John Hembree and Jailey Diane Bailey. He is survived by his wife Audrey Avenell (Nellie) (Roflow) Hembree and his daughters Diana (Hembree) Conwell of Goshen Ohio and Debora (Hembree) Dean, (her husband Brian Dean) of Loveland Ohio; 5 grandchildren Corey Leadmon, (Late) Michael Leadmon, Jodi (Leadmon) Doherty her husband (Joe Doherty), and Tiffany (Moon) Smith as well as his great grandchildren River and Island Leadmon, Leah Leadmon, Emilee Doherty, and Hailey Moell and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother Jim Bailey of Owensboro Kentucky and Carl Bailey of Loveland Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents (father) John Hembree, (mother) Jailey Diane Bailey, his brother William (Butch) Bailey and his son in law Richard (Dick) Conwell. Bill was retired from Ford Motor Company where he spent 30 years building not only the vehicles he loved but providing for the family he cherished with his whole heart. He was a lifetime member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association, the National Rifle Association as well as a Kentucky Colonel. Bill in his earlier years built several antique cars as well as an award-winning trike that was featured in the local newspapers and took first place at the Cavalcade of Customs car show. Bill would tell you of all his greatest treasures in life the number one spot was his wife of 67 years Nellie followed by his daughters and family. Services for Bill will be held at the Perintown United Methodist Church located at 1260 US Route 50 just east of Milford on Thursday September 1st at 6:00 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend.
