Brent L. Donathan

Brent L. Donathan of Mt. Orab, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born on August 13, 1940, to the late Earl and Mildred Donathan.

Brent is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Donathan of Mt. Orab, Ohio; his children: Suzan (David) Crawford of Sardinia, Ohio, Blinda (Jason) Boothby of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Wendel (Cindy) Donathan of Georgetown, Ohio, Brad (Crystal) Donathan of Mason, Ohio and Billy (Heather) McNichols of Williamsburg, Ohio; his grandchildren: Candice Crawford, Mathew (Kaylee) Crawford, Michael (Dulce) Crawford, Josh (Erika) Boothby, Autumn (Aaron Stocksdale) Boothby, Lauren Donathan, Tanner Donathan, Benjamin Donathan, Zachary Donathan, Christopher Donathan, Lilyan McNichols, Laylan McNichols, and Liam McNichols; his great-grandchildren: Lukas, Jeremiah, Lenox, Penelope and Gracelynn; his sisters: Kathy Cunningham of Felicity, Ohio and Betty Bronson of Felicity, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Brent was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Brent served in the US Navy. He was a Peewee Football Coach for Western Brown and a Boy Scout Leader in Bethel, Ohio. He was a member of the Brown County Bee Association, the R.O.M.E.O. Club and was a deacon at the First Baptist Church on Mt. Orab, Ohio. Brent graduated from Chatfield College and retired as a lineman from Duke Energy after 33 years. He was an avid guitar player and loved the outdoors and wood crafting.

Funeral service 1 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Megie Funeral Home, 104 Spice Street, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154, where family and friends received from 11 AM until the time of service. Interment Mt. Orab Cemetery. Pastor Dave Warren officiating.
