Caran Elizabeth Stacey, born Helton on October 18, 1950, in Harlan, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many throughout her journey on this Earth.
Caran was the cherished daughter of Bobbie Helton and the late Roy Helton. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Stacey, with whom she shared 38 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of love and happiness. Caran is also survived by her children: David Lloyd, Debbie Stacey, and Krystle (James) Mills. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to eleven, who affectionately called her "Grandma Sweetie," "MeMaw," and "Mom-Mom." Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in nurturing the bonds they shared.
Sister to Shirley (Cary) Johnson and the late Sandy Vincent, Caran maintained cherished relationships with her family, offering unwavering support and love. She also opened her heart to Charlie Jones, whom she embraced as an adopted son, expanding her circle of family further.
Known for her warm spirit and infectious smile, Caran had an array of interests that brought her joy. She was a dedicated fan of UK Basketball, enjoyed creating culinary delights in the kitchen, and loved exploring antique flea markets with her husband, Mike. These passions reflected her vibrant personality and her appreciation for both the simple and beautiful aspects of life.
Caran's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind countless memories that will continue to inspire and bring warmth to the lives of her family and friends. As we reflect on her life, we celebrate the love she shared and the indelible impact she made on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
