Carl Lee Purtee

Carl Lee Purtee, age 60, died unexpectedly at home with his family by his side. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 39 years, Carol (nee Puckett) Purtee, who will miss him deeply. He will also be missed by his loving children Todd A. (Angie) Purtee, Melissa Stewart and James Lee (Kelley) Purtee. Carl was the proud and adoring grandfather of Nicholas, Kristina, Zachary, Brook, Eric, Veronica, Michael, Morgan, Seth, and Emma, and was the dear brother of Kathleen Wade, Janet Brown, and Samuel Purtee. Jim Cunningham will miss his good friend as well as life long friend, Ron Striley. Carl enjoyed fishing, hunting crabbing, deep sea fishing and loved spending time with all of his grandchildren. Friends are invited Friday, 11-12:00 PM at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home & Crematory, 529 Main St., Milford with funeral service being held at noon also at the funeral home. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery.
