Carl J. 'Duke' Schmid

Carl J. "Duke" Schmid, age 76, passed away surrounded by his family on September 11, 2017. He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Judy (nee' Miller) Schmid, and dear brother to Bill Schmid. Duke will also be missed by other family family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl L. and Katherine Schmid, a sister Donna Kay Schmid, and a brother, Dave Schmid. Mr. Schmid was the owner and operator of Duke's Water. A Funeral Service will take place Friday, September 15, 2017 at 12 Noon at Craver Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory, 529 Main St., Milford, Ohio, where family and friends will be received from 10 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude's, P.O.Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or to the Disabled American Veteran at www.DAV.org.
