Carman H. Hartman

Carmen H. Hartman, aged 74, passed away on October 16, 2026. Born to the late John and Jane Priefer, Carmen devoted her life to her family and community.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 57 years, Ike Hartman Sr.; her children: Jane E. (Thomas) Pierce and Ike (Nancy) Hartman Jr.; her grandchildren: Tyler Hartman, Ikey Hartman III, and Levi Hartman; and her great-grandchild, Evelynn. Carmen is also survived by her sister, Juanita Clark and many cherished nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carmen was preceded in death by her siblings: Joanne Earhart, John Prieter, and Terry Prieter.

A dedicated entrepreneur, she owned TJ’s Fishing Lakes and shared her passion for education as a former Head Start teacher. As a member of the Mt. Orab Global Methodist Church, Carmen's faith was an integral part of her life.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Megie Funeral Home, 104 Spice Street, Mt. Orab, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Batavia Union Cemetery, Batavia, Ohio.
