Charles Daye, born on June 17, 1939, passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2026, at the age of 87. Charles’s life was one defined by love for family, dedication, and a steadfast spirit. He retired from Keebler after 40 years. Charles enjoyed many activities with his wife and family. They loved traveling and going on cruises, ballroom dancing, and camping. He had an affection for feeding the birds, and you could find him at car shows showing off his Studebaker.
He was a devoted father to Charlie (Karen Hayton) Daye, Jr. and Kevin ( Sheila Henize) Daye, cherishing every moment shared with them. Charles was also a loving grandfather to Josh Daye, Andrew Daye, Austin Daye, Shelby Daye, Megan Daye, and Dylan Daye. His joy extended to his great-grandchildren, Lily Daye and Evelyn Daye, who brought him deep pride and happiness. The bonds he forged with his family were central to his life, always providing support, mentorship, and affection.
Charles is survived by his siblings: his sisters Rita Buhler, Cindy Daye, and Diana (Bill) Klingenberg. They, alongside his children and grandchildren, will remember him for his wisdom, warmth, and unyielding kindness. The family draws comfort from their cherished memories with Charles, recalling moments of laughter and unity that he so lovingly fostered.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Daye, his son Paul Daye, his parents, George and Viola Daye, and his brother Ronald Daye. The loss of these dear family members was deeply felt by Charles throughout his life, yet he continued to be a source of strength and resilience for those around him.
Charles Daye’s legacy lives on in the generations that follow, each inspired by his humility, integrity, and unwavering love. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but the values he imparted and the memories shared will remain as lasting testaments to his remarkable life.
