Charles Newell

Charles "Freddie" Newell, 54 of Hillsboro, died Sunday morning May 4, 2008, at Adams County Regional Hospital. He was born September 7, 1953 in Williamsburg, Ohio, son of the late Fredrick Newell and Geneva Woods. Freddie enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, gardening and the outdoors. He loved to turkey hunt and spending time with close friends. He enjoyed his work at Crop Production and his work for Bob Nave. He also deeply loved and was devoted to his wife and children. Freddie is survived by his wife Opal "Penny" Newell, daughters Michelle Hampton, Alma Jones of Cincinnati, and son Justin Newell. Five grandchildren Trinity Jones, Tremyll Jones, Jesse Cole, Tamika Cole and Dionas Thomas. Brothers Jimmy Newell of Mt. Orab, Jerry Barnett of Williamsburg and sister Patsy Barnett of Williamsburg. Freddie is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Brianna Jones. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 17th at 2:00pm and there will be a gathering of family and friends prior to the service from 11:00am until 2:00pm. The service will be held at the Union Church of Christ, 3021 North Taylorsville Road, Hillsboro, Ohio.
