Charles R. Smithers

Charles R. Smithers was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on February 18, 1930 to the late Charley and Dellia Smithers. He went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2023. Age 93. Residence Williamsburg, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willia Smithers, his son, Vestil Smithers and 11 siblings. Charles was the loving father of Judy (Rich) Wood, Charlene (Butch) Castle, Harold (Kim) Smithers, Larry (Kelli) Smithers and Jennifer (Tim) Marten. He had 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Charles worked at the Smith Electro Chemical Company until his retirement, after which he enjoyed buying and selling antiques. Visitation will be held at the Megie Funeral Home, Craver Chapel, 529 Main Street, Milford , Ohio on Monday April 10, 2023 from 12:30 PM until time of funeral service at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Batavia Union Cemetery in Batavia, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Wayne Township Life Squad, 6320 State Route 133, Goshen, OH 45122.
