Claire Jean Larson

Claire Jean Larson (“Jean”) of Milford, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the age of 94. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Clarence R. and Cecelia L. Griffith in 1930.

Jean was the beloved wife of 70 years to the late Melvin “Mel” E. Larson; loving mom of Mark E. Larson, Timothy E. (the late Pam)Larson, Kristen M. (Lee) Fagre, and Karen L. (Jack) Noe; proud grandma of Jessica Larson, Anna (William Knudsen) Fagre, Eric (Angela Poole)Fagre, Lucas Fagre, Ethan Fagre, Trey Noe, and her great grandchildren: Ivy, Lily, Gage, Willow, and Rosemary; dear sister of the late Ruth (the late Al) Budai & the late Larry (the late Mary Beth) Griffith, and will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Jean cherished her 25 years of service, and the friendships she made, while working as school secretary in the Milford School District. Jean and Mel shared a love of travel, as well as cheering on their favorite Cincinnati sports teams. Jean’s passion for cross stitch was evident in the beautiful pieces she lovingly created over the years. Her family will always treasure the memories of her cooking, and the dishes she prepared for them with love.

Jean’s family would like to thank Pinebrook Senior Retirement Community, Home Instead Senior Care, and Queen City Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Jean.

Funeral Services will be held at Megie Funeral Home & Crematory – Craver Chapel, 529 Main St., Milford, OH 45150 on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM, where family and friends will be received from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.

Interment will immediately follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford.

Chaplain Jeff Davis will be officiating.

If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed in Jean’s memory to Queen City Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association, in memory of Mel.
