Connie Y. Souder

Connie Y. Souder, 81, of Byers, Colorado, formerly of West Union, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022. She was born October 10, 1940 in New Richmond, Ohio to the late Garland Ray and Bonita (née Ginn) McAfee. Connie is survived by her beloved husband, Gary D. Souder of Byers, CO; her loving children: Duane (Janet) Souder of Donnellson, IA and Kimberly (Matt) Peebles of Byers, CO; her cherished grandchildren: Tyler, Amanda, Ray, Codi, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Jody and Dusty as well as three great-grandchildren; her dear siblings: Montie McAfee of Amelia, OH and Sue Griffin of Mt. Orab, OH. Along with her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her son, Alex Souder and four siblings: Tommy McAfee, Lee McAfee, Jeannie Ford and Ronnie McAfee. Connie was a member of the Bennett Baptist Church in Bennett, CO and a former member of the Independent Baptist Church in West Union, OH. Funeral service 1 PM Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Megie Funeral Home, 104 Spice Street, Mt. Orab, OH 45154, where family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Mt. Orab Cemetery, Mt., Orab, OH. Pastor Ted House officiating.
