C. Neal Collins went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2023, at the age of 84. He was born in Madisonville, OH to the late Curran and Lillian Collins. Neal was the devoted and loving husband for 59 years to the late Ada Angelene “Jean” Collins, beloved and adored dad of Catherine “Cathy” (Eric) Huhn, Tambra “Tammy” (Barry) Sargent, and Cynthia “Cyndi” (Tim) Briggs, treasured and very proud PawPaw of Eric Von (Christie) Huhn, Kristen (Eric) Magaw, Karissa (Kory) Heidel, Kira (Matt) Klaber, Adam Sargent, Kaitlyn (Clayton) Armstead, Neal (Dani) Cox, Cory Cox, Lillian “Lily” (Michael) Winterberger, TJ (Hannah) Briggs, Savannah (Kevin Carder) Briggs, and his great grandchildren, Von Huhn, Kylee, Alivia, and Emily Magaw, Addison, Cameron, Savannah, Oakleigh, and Landen Heidel, Benjamin and Jace Steele, Kayty, Kenna, and Kari Klaber, Mya Sargent, Chandler, Maddox, and Jackson Armstead, Dahlia Jean Cox, Rose, Ivy, and Violet Winterberger, Elliana and Colson Carder, and many foster grandchildren, dear brother of Curlene Smith, and will also be deeply missed by his church family, numerous other family and a multitude of friends. Neal will be remembered for his great love for the Lord, his family, his church, and his Brothers In Christ (BIC) Bible Study Group.
In addition to his parents, Neal was preceded in death by his sister, Melba Nash, his brother, Johnno Collins, and his brother-in-law, Tommy Smith.
Neal was a longtime member of the Goshen Church of God, the Goshen Masonic Lodge #119, the Royal Arch, and the Scottish Rite.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 4-7 PM at the Goshen Church of God, 1675 Hillstation Rd., Goshen, OH 45122, where a service to celebrate Neal’s life will begin at 7 PM, officiated by Bishop James Walden Jr. and Teacher Steve Krebsfanger. Burial will take place Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11 AM at Goshen Cemetery.
If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Goshen Church of God Youth Department or to the Brothers In Christ Bible Study Group.
