Dahnna J. Beach passed away Sunday morning, February 22, 2026, at home with her partner, Mike Creighton, by her side.
Dahnna was born on November 15, 1957, in Elyria, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Erroll and Doris June (Compton) Broud. Dahnna was recently preceded in death by her Sister, Pamela (Broud) Woods.
Dahnna is survived by Mike; her Sons, Jon Kunze and Daughter-in-law, Tera of Bellefontaine, Ohio; Matt Beach of Raleigh, North Carolina; and Brothers, Fred Broud of Sidney, Ohio and Allen Broud and Sister-in-law, Rhonda of Marysville, Ohio; Step-Mother, Sharon (Erroll) Broud of Wapakoneta, Ohio; Cousin, Donna Duncan of Sardinia, Ohio; and Best Friend, Jen Huddleson of Winchester, Ohio; along with her Pride and Joy Grandchildren, Aiden and Ava Kunze of Bellefontaine; in addition to many Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
Mike’s Mom, Gladys Creighton; Brothers, Ronnie (Karen), and Roger Creighton; sister, Nancy (Mike) Rhoten; son, Jessie Creighton (Heather), and daughter, Jennifer Creighton-Bailey (Kevin), and grandchildren Dylan and Lila, who were all enveloped in Dahnna’s circle of love. Her neighbors, Judy and Jim O’Cull’s whose love and support have been amazing throughout Dahnna’s entire journey of the past 10 years.
Dahnna spent many years working in healthcare, beginning with Mary Rutan Hospital after her graduation from Bellefontaine High School and Ohio Hi-Point Career Center for Diversified Health in 1976. Dahnna’s caregiver’s heart was on full display in 1981 when she put her life on hold to move in with her Mom who was diagnosed with cancer, to provide care and support to her. This led to her journey of providing health care services, both professionally and personally, for her family, throughout the years, with her Uncle Earl Kress and Mike’s Mom, Gladys. Dahnna was always there with comfort, support, and compassion whenever needed.
In 2016, Dahnna was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung and Brain cancer. She battled beyond belief, going through 3 brain surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy to reduce the cells and masses to the point of almost non-existence. To say she was strong doesn’t even scratch the surface. She was Fierce. Cancer didn’t know the fight in her, but she did. Her medical team at UC called her their “Miracle Girl.” Over 10 years from a Stage 4 times 2 diagnosis. Several medications were approved for treatment due to the results of her and other patients' participation in clinical trials. Although the toll on her body was very taxing, we are all very grateful for the time we got to enjoy with her, and, however reluctantly, we rejoice that she is now at rest.
There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, if desired, charitable contributions may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be provided at a later date for all to gather and honor Dahnna.
