Dana L. Schmidtgesling

Dana Leeann Schmidtgesling, age 56, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023,

after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born April 4, 1967, to

Josephine and Paul Schmidtgesling. Dana loved spending time surrounded by

her family, especially her grandchildren whom she treasured. She loved to

sitting back and relaxing with her two cats, Lilith and Henry, with her

giant cup of coffee.

Dana is survived by her mother and father, Josephine Schmidtgesling and

Paul Schmidtgesling, her son Dusty Smith and his wife Esther, her son Cody

Smith and partner Kristen Jacobs, her daughter Kasey Helbling, her brother

Steve Schmidtgesling and his wife Miriam, her grandchildren Jay, Lane,

Emmy, Kaylee, Leland, Easton, Wyatt, Caden, Braden, and Dorothea, her

sister-in-law Hannah Schmidtgesling, and her nieces Christina, Beth, Sarah,

Lauren, Emily and Paige.

She was preceded in death by her brother Craig Schmidtgesling, who passed

in July 2021.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 10 AM at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 5890 Buckwheat Rd., Milford, OH 45150.

In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions in Dana’s honor be directed to a charity of ones choice.
