David Andrew "Sarge" Chrzanowski

David Andrew “Sarge” Chrzanowski passed away peacefully at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio, where he resided, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 15, 1944, to the late Frank Chrzanowski and the late Thelma Pierce.

Sarge is survived by his children: Julie (Bryan) Perry, David (Kelly) Chrzanowski and Dawn (Douglas) Koesters, his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Sarge attended Roger Bacon High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He transferred from the U.S. Navy to the U.S. Army. During his time in the Army, Sarge received many medals and accommodations for his time. He retired from the Army in September 2004.

A graveside ceremony at the Dayton National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
