David Calvin Jones

David (Dave) Calvin Jones of Milford, Ohio passed away at the age of 88 on August 23'd, 2022. He is survived by his wife Janet Hawkins Jones, his children Ken Jones, Kathy (Daryl} Earls and Kristi Jones, his grandchildren Damon and Matt Jones and Dustin and Tyler Earls and his great granddaughter Annabelle Krummen. He is also survived by cousins. Born and raised in Cincinnati, his parents were Gladys and Fred Jones. When Dave was a teenager, his family bought a farm in Goshen where he learned how to farm and made many lifelong friends. He met his future wife and graduated from Goshen High School. After high school, he served in the Army and was stationed in France for 2 1/2 years. When he was honorably discharged from the Army, he came back and married Janet Hawkins Jones and built a home in Goshen. Later the family moved to Day Heights, Milford and have resided there for 55 years and raised their family. He enjoyed his gun and Army gear collection. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and Ohio Gun Collectors Association. Dave ran his own lithography company, Jones litho, for 43 years. He was a talented lithographer and worked with his daughter, Kathy for 15 years. Kathy was 4th generation in this business. Dave purchased his first motorcycle when he was a sophomore in high school. and that began his love of motorcycles. Later, Ken and Kathy also enjoyed motorcycles. The whole family had a lot of good times at various motocross tracks where Dave served as pit crew for Ken. Dave bought a beautiful Yamaha when he was in his 60s and enjoyed riding until he was 80. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and supporting all of them to have fulfilling lives.
