David Landan Stannus

David Landan Stannus, a young man of promise and warmth, was born on November 9, 2004, in Fayetteville, Ohio. It is with profound sorrow that we announce his passing on June 10, 2026, in his hometown of Fayetteville. Landan was a beloved son, brother, and friend, whose bright spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Landan’s journey through life was marked by a passionate love for learning and a joyful embrace of the simple pleasures that made him unique. He was a proud graduate of Fayetteville Perry High School’s class of 2023. After high school, Landan worked as a Phlebotomist at Mercy Clermont Hospital before joining the University of Cincinnati’s Respiratory Therapy program where he carried his dedication to excellence and distinguished himself on the Dean’s List. His bright mind was complemented by a gentle soul and a curious heart. He was on track to graduate in Spring 2027.

Landan was known to many as an avid reader and gamer, a conduit to countless worlds where his imagination thrived. These interests not only brought him joy but also allowed him to connect deeply with friends and family. At his side in moments of quiet comfort was Layla, his beloved dog, whose loyalty and companionship were a source of steadfast solace.

Born to his devoted mother, Jenny Holden-Richendollar, and cared for in partnership with his stepfather, Steven Richendollar, Landan’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He shared a special bond with his brother, Logan Michael Stannus, whose support and love were constant. He was also cherished by his maternal grandmother, Geneva Holden, and survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as many dear friends who were fortunate to have him in their lives.

Landan was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Earl Stannus, as well as his maternal grandfather, James L. Holden, and paternal grandparents, William and Violet Stannus, whose memories remain a lasting legacy.
