Dolly Iris Cornett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dolly Iris Cornett, a beloved member of our community, who left us on December 27, 2025. Dolly was born on July 9, 1942, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and throughout her life, she emanated a spirit of sweetness and caring that deeply touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dolly’s warmth was evident in her loving nature and her ability to make those around her feel cherished and valued. Her love for her family was boundless, and she leaves behind her cherished sisters, Ruth Howard and Deanna Humphries, as well as her esteemed brother, Buddy Cornett. In addition to her immediate family, Dolly is survived by a host of additional family and friends who will miss her deeply and remember the many laughs and moments shared throughout the years.

Dolly had a zest for life that was evident in her passions. She loved to travel, embracing new adventures and experiences that brought her joy. Likewise, her affection for her doll babies was one of the many reflections of her nurturing spirit. Whether on an exciting trip or tending to her beloved dolls, Dolly approached life with a sense of wonder and delight.

Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate in the lives she touched. Dolly’s funeral service will be held at Megie Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio, on January 6, 2026, with visitation starting at 11:00 AM and the service following at 12:00 PM. Dolly will be remembered not just for the years she lived but for the love she shared and the light she brought into this world.

As we gather to celebrate her life and honor her spirit, let us carry her memory forward in our hearts, cherishing the tender moments and the incredible woman that Dolly Iris Cornett was.
