Dolores Mcdaniel

Dolores Marie (Henges) McDaniel, a wonderful sister, mother, aunt, grandma, great grandma, soon to be great-great grandma, friend to many, and most importantly beloved wife of the late Robert Sanford McDaniel passed away peacefully in her room on August 31,2015. She will be missed and loved by all. And there were a lot. Born on June 27, 1929 in Norwood, OH she was the oldest of 10, with 8 sisters and 1 brother. She married her true love on October 29, 1949. They raised 5 children, Terri Sue Dobbs (Ron Dobbs) , Jim McDaniel( Darlene Owens) , Steve McDaniel (Gloria McDaniel), John McDaniel (Jan McDaniel), and Sherry Whitten(Tracy Whitten). Welcomed 10 grandchildren, Bobby, Devan, Christine, Drake, Doug, Danette, Codi, Justin, Sean, and Stephanie, and 23 great grandchildren, Alexis, Autumn, Bobby Jr., Kyle, Erin, Jordan, Tyler, Ethan, Isaac, Joshua, Carter, Kennedy, Mia, Jacob, Daemion, Jordan, Wyatt, Grayson, Xander, Savannah, Morgan, Declan, and John Thomas, and soon to welcome the first great-great grandchild. More than anything, Dolores loved her family. As large as they are, they still found time to come together. Her potato salad was a must at every event. On her downtime she would always have word find books handy. Her favorite show was Walker Texas Ranger, and everything would stop for John Wayne. She loved animals, and had many dear pets. She would help feed the strays at her home. When she was home, she loved playing cards with her friends in the community room. Services will be held at Craver Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory, 529 Main Street, Milford, OH 45150, Thursday September 4th, 2015. Visitation will be from 10 to 12, services at noon, burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Miamiville. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to the Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US HWY 62E, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031. We wish to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers.
