Edna Eleanore Frieda Poirot

Edna E. (nee Dittmann) Poirot, of Cincinnati, OH and formerly of Belleville, IL, passed away on her birthday, July 22, at the age of 94. She was the devoted wife of the late Roy A. Poirot, cherished mother of Judith P. (John R.) Calhoun of Milford, OH, proud grandmother of Jill R. (Kevin) Handel, great grandmother of Eric and Evan Handel, all of Milford, OH, dear sister of Almeda Dittmann of Freeburg, IL, and Luella Harmon of Belleville, IL, and will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Almeda and John Dittmann, infant son, great grandson Christopher Handel, brothers John, Frank and William Dittmann and niece Joyce Hohe. Edna was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and homemaking. A special thanks to the caring ministries of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Belleville, IL, Trinity United Methodist Church in Milford, OH, and to the employees of the Anderson of Cincinnati, OH, for their invaluable, unselfish service to Edna and her family. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date in Belleville, IL.
