Ellen Kathleen Schockman

Ellen Kathleen (Adcock) Schockman, 91, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Cedar Village in Mason, Ohio where she had resided for 3 years. Ellen, the daughter of Frederick and Ellen (Daniel) Adcock, was born on April 9, 1923 in Burton On Trent, England. She married the late Herman Schockman and settled in Camp Dennison, Ohio. Later in life, Ellen enjoyed spending time with close friend and companion, Marco �Mike� Pangallo, who preceded her in death on September 30, 2009. Ellen loved to share stories about her life and family, including; living in England during World War II, being a �war bride,� immigrating to the United States as a young mother, and becoming a naturalized citizen in 1959. She also liked to knit and tend to her flowers. Those who knew Ellen enjoyed her quick wit, love of life, and generous spirit. Ellen was the loving mother of one daughter who preceded her in death: Christina Moorman (August �Butch�); and three sons: Alan Schockman (Linda) of Camp Dennison, Ohio; Mike Schockman of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Kenny Schockman of Loveland, Ohio. Ellen was also grandmother of eight grandchildren: Pam Diesel (Ryan); Kristal Bartholomew (Shane); Brad Schockman; Adam Schockman (Samantha); Sandy Binns; Stephanie Lunsford (Gerald); Vicki Glancy (Andrew); Valerie Nuttle (Nick) and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends and family are welcome on Friday, April 10, 2015, 6:00-8:00 PM at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory, 529 Main St., Milford, OH. Ellen will be laid to rest on Saturday, 10am April 11, 2015 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati, OH.
