Erwin Lee Gerstenberger, passed away Sat., Oct. 27 at Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash, OH after a short illness. Born Feb. 12, 1928 in Cleveland Ohio, he wed Rosemarie Schuster in 1954. A WWII veteran, graduate of Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mr. Gerstenberger owned and operated Ornamental Fabricators, Inc. in Chagrin Falls, Ohio where he and Rosemarie reared their family. Erwin went on to work for engineering companies including Fluor Corporation, Greenville, South Carolina, until he recently retired. An avid horseman, he was a member of Chagrin Valley Hunt, Greenville County Hounds, Tryon Hounds, and Old Tryon Foot Beagles. He was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Tryon, North Carolina. A long time resident of Chagrin Falls, OH and resident of Landrum, SC since 1985, he is survived by his wife Rosemarie, their children, Paul John II, wife Colleen and their sons Dale and Lee of Tampa, FL; daughter, Julie E. Holzberger, her husband Frederic and their children, Daniel and d�Nicole of Cincinnati, Atlanta and San Francisco respectively. One of 3 children, Erwin is survived by his sister Ruth Hein and her husband, Richard. A Memorial Service will begin 2PM Saturday December 1st at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross, Tryon, NC. The family has requested his life be honored through donations to Project H.O.P.E.
