Gale M. Alden

Gale M. Alden, age 73, passed away September, 3, 2016. He was the beloved and cherished husband of 25 years to Ann L. (nee� Coyle) Alden, loving father to Michael (Alyssa) Alden, Kelli (Brad) Sumner, Jennifer (Olaf) Roeder, Cheri (Chris) Sumner, Sarah Alden, and Amy (Ed) Heming, proud grandfather to Mallory & Cassie Alden, Emma, Maddie, & Olivia Sumner, Owen & Ava Roeder,and Evan, Cameron, & Lily Sumner, and dear brother to Erick (Nancy) Alden, Errol (Judi) Alden, Carl (Jessica) Alden, Myron (Gretchen) Alden, Priscilla (Paul) Powers, and Maretta (Scott Saville)Alden. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Gale served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an Alumnus of The Ohio State University, where he was a member of the marching band and sang in the Glee Club. He was also a member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau and the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Alden was preceded in death by his parents, Carl M. and Lelah Belle (nee� Benz) Alden, and an infant son and an infant grandson. Funeral services will be held at Craver Riggs Funeral and Home and Crematory, Milford, Ohio on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 at 12 Noon, where family and friends will be received from 10:30 until the hour of service. A private burial will take place at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be directed in Gale�s memory to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
