Gary R. Forbes

Gary R. Forbes of Milford, Ohio, formerly of Madisonville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born to the late Jean Forbes on August 21, 1947.

Gary is survived by his wife, Carol D. (née Hunter) Forbes; his children: Steve R. Forbes of Covington, Kentucky, Kristie E. Forbes of Amelia, Ohio and Todd B. (Heather) Rudisell of Ft. Wright, Kentucky; his grandchildren: Anastasia L., Hayleigh B. and Hunter I.; his great-grandchildren: Raedyn, Caesyn, Nash and Lilith; his sister, Harriet Daugherty of Norwood, Ohio; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Gary was preceded in death by his grandchild, Bryce A. and his brother, Kevin Ross.

Gary served in the US Army in Troop A 3rd Squadron 4th Cavalry 25th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was a lifetime member of Vietnam Veterans of America, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the 25th Infantry Division Association ,and the American Legion in Fairfax, Ohio. He retired from Metropolitan Sewer District. Gary loved to travel, and he never met a stranger.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
