Gary R. Waits

Gary Waits of Mt. Orab, OH passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the age of 81.  He was born to the late Robert and Virginia (nee Glover) Waits on November 17, 1938 in Mt. Orab, OH.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Susie Waits; his caring children Robin (Mark) Gooding of Williamsburg, OH, Ryan Waits of Mt. Orab, OH, and Adam Renchen of Philadelphia, PA; his cherished grandchildren Dacota, Jena, and Jamie; his adored great grandchildren Victoria, Aoife, Zachary, Aiden, and one on the way; his wonderful siblings Greg (Sande) Waits of Mt. Orab, OH, Galen (Connie) Waits of Mt. Orab, OH, and Genda (Clyde) Pope of Mt. Orab, OH; and his special nieces and nephews Tina, Travis, Tara, Shelby, Shanna, and Shawn; along with numerous other family and friends.

In addition to his parents Gary was preceded in death by his son Rudy Waits.

Gary was a Bullpen Catcher in the 70's for the Big Red Machine, he owned and operated Waits Realty in Mt. Orab and Williamsburg, he was a member of the Mt. Orab United Methodist Church.  Gary loved country music, fishing, and was an avid Duck hunter for 39 years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Megie Funeral Home located at 104 Spice St., Mt. Orab, OH 45154.  Funeral Services will be on Saturday at 11:00 am at Megie Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Mt. Orab Cemetery in Mt. Orab, OH.  Pastor Al Bolte officiating.
