Welch, Geraldine “Gerry” E. (née Striker), age 90, Loveland, passed away surrounded by her family on March 27, 2022. Beloved wife of Donald C. Welch (deceased), for 56 years. Loving Mother of Donald J. Welch (Sandra), Kathleen S. Welch & Kimberley A. Miller (Douglas). Caring Sister of Dr. Edward Striker (Carol). Affectionate Grandmother of Carrie Diedrich (Jeff, deceased), Kelley Purtee (Lee), Jill McAdams, Donald C. Gary & Matthew M. Gary. Loving Great grandmother of Kyle, Austin, & Aubrey Diedrich, Morgan & Nathan Purtee, Addison, Dax, & Makenna McAdams. Mrs. Welch is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and lifetime friends including all the “49ers” women from Deer Park High School. Gerry was a Keeper of peace, loving, kind, caring, generous, considerate, giving, great listener, faithful, compassionate, great hugger, all inclusive, sharing, honest, special, sweet lady, woman of faith, Sunday School teacher, Bible study participant, choir soloist, cub scout Den Leader, PTA President, Dental office manager, babysitter, cook, baker, knitter, crocheter, quilter, house & home builder, seamstress, avid book reader, gardener, collector of figurines, piano player, crossword enthusiast, world traveler, friend to all living creatures. A Visitation will be on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 11 AM- 12 NOON, at Megie Funeral Home and Crematory (formerly Craver Riggs), 529 Main St., Milford, OH 45150, where a Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12 NOON. Internment following services at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be directed to the Milford First United Methodist Church, 541 Main St., Milford, OH 45150.
