Gertrude Winslow Stuntebeck, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of St. Gertrude Parish, passed away at her home on April 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 5, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she lived a rich and fulfilling life marked by strength, dedication, and an unwavering love for her family and community.


Gertrude devoted her career to healing and caring for others as a Respiratory Therapist, working in several different hospitals, a role in which she touched many lives with compassion and expertise before retiring. Beyond her professional life, her passions painted a vivid portrait of her spirit. She found joy in collecting and refurbishing antiques, artistically creating jewelry, traveling around the world, nurturing vibrant flower and herb gardens, reading, working puzzles and quietly watching birds—a testament to her deep appreciation for knowledge, beauty and nature. Her dedication to family genealogy highlighted her profound reverence for history and heritage, tying generations together with stories and love. Above all, spending precious time with her family brought her the greatest happiness.


She is lovingly remembered by her children: Peter (Nuntana) Stuntebeck, the late Christine Venus, the late Andrea Millican, Scotti (Ben) Cohee, Kurt (Malinee) Stuntebeck, James (the late Barbara) Stuntebeck, Jennifer McCullough, Mary Beth Stuntebeck, and Loren (Paul) Werner. Gertrude's maternal warmth extended to Larry Venus, a grandchild she raised, as well as to a large family of grandchildren including: Ice, Yves, Paifon, Primmy, Jacob, Robert, Brooke, Shanna, JD, Ja, Milk, Zachary, Jarrod, Brandi, Keenan, Derek, Cheyenne, Alicia, the late Alfonso, the late Danyelle and Noel. Further, her legacy lives on through numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who held her close. Gertrude also lovingly remembered her parents, Leo and Mae Aubuchon, and her sister Marilee Satchell, who preceded her in passing.


The family will honor Gertrude’s memory with a visitation on May 4, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Megie Funeral Home & Crematory - Craver Chapel, located at 529 Main Street in Milford, Ohio. A Mass celebrating her life will be held the following day, May 5, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM at St. Gertrude Church, 6543 Miami Avenue, Madeira, Ohio . Interment immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.


Gertrude Winslow Stuntebeck’s life was a testament to love, service, and the quiet beauty found in family and faith. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. May she rest in everlasting peace.
