DeHART, Jake, 88, of Wallingford, KY, formerly of Buford, OH passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008. He was born October 31, 1919 in Viper, KY to the late Abraham and Anner (nee Smith) DeHart. He was a WWII veteran and received 5 bronze stars for his service in the Army. He worked 30 years at General Motors in Dayton, OH and was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Jake was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Edward, Millard, Ralph, Andrew, Sherman, Branson and Caleb DeHart; his sisters, Oma Hamilton and Mary DeHart; a grandson and a great-granddaughter. Jake is survived by his wife, Omega (nee Fields) DeHart; nine children: Jeanette Bowling of Decatur, OH, Hazel (Larry) Hartsock of Dayton, OH, Sharon Couch of Lake Waynoka, OH, Robert Charles (Lori) DeHart of Buford, OH, Lloyd (Donna) DeHart of Williamsburg, OH, Vivian Strong of Sabina, OH, Teresa (Jeff) Vance of Springfield, IL, Calvin DeHart of Sardinia, OH and Jacqueline Smith of Sardinia, OH; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Megie Funeral Home, 104 Spice Street, Mt. Orab, OH and 10 AM - 12 PM Friday, March 28, 2008 at Bible Baptist Church, Purdy Road, Sardinia, OH where funeral services will be held 12 PM. Interment Buford Cemetery.
