James "Jim" E. Berling

James “Jim” E. Berling of Amelia, Ohio was born in Cincinnati to the late Leo and May Berling in 1950. Jim was 73 years old.

Jim was the dedicated husband of 50 years to Debbie (neé Lohrum) Berling, devoted dad of Wanda (Justin) Berling-Cox, Jamie (Chris Coursey) Berling, and Dylan (Brittany) Creager; proud Papa/Papaw of Brooklynn (Josh) Harrison, Madison (Nick Wombles) Cox, Halle (Joseph Thompson) Cox, Kadin Locher, Myles Locher, J.T. Cox, Myla May Creager, Dylan Creager, Jr., and his great-grandchildren, Lane Hornsby, Jace Cox, Shianne Harrison, Weston Wombles, Dallas Harrison, Blakelynn Wombles, and Salem Thompson, brother of Alma Boggs, John Berling, and Mary Abgar, and will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Berling and his brother, Raymond Berling.

Jim was always dedicated to his family first and foremost.

He loved to spend time at their cabin in the country with his children and grandchildren making memories. Jim also enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, and cars.

Jim’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the Drive-by Car Show on Sunday, February 4, 2024, where at least 160 cars, trucks, bikes, and even a police care drove past the house so Jim could enjoy one more car show.

Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 1 PM at Megie Funeral Home and Crematory – Craver Chapel, 529 Main St., Milford, OH 45150, where family and friends will be received from 11 AM until the hour of service.

Committal Service will immediately follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens, Milford, OH.

RJ Robertson will be officiating.
