James E. Newell

James E. Newell, 71, of Georgetown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026.

He was born on October 13, 1954, to the late Geneva Nee-Wood and Frederick Newell.

James took pride in his hard work and spent many years in the construction and paving industry before retiring. He loved spending time with his family and friends and especially enjoyed fishing. He was a loving husband to his late wife, Sheila (Smith) Newell.

James was a beloved father to Mina Newell, Jamie (Jordan-Neal) Newell, and Billy (Trina) Stephens.

He was a proud grandfather to Braxton, Payton, Brad-Leigh, Jayzen, Dalton, Maelee, Dillon, Kelsey, Kayla, Meghan, Mikeal, and Darien.

He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Easton, Ema, Blakelyn, Brayden, Carter, Autumn, and Charlie.

James touched the hearts and lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
