Janice E Atkin

Janice Elaine (nee Ellenberger) Atkin, 81, of Hamersville, OH, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

Jan was born on May 30, 1943, to the late John and Virgina (Eckner) Ellenberger. She was the loving wife of the late Marvin Atkin; the loving mother of Rick (Dawn) Scott of Morrow, OH, Tim (Susan) Scott of Aurora, IL, and Lisa Sizemore of Spartanburg, SC. She was the stepmother to David (Brenda) Atkin of Auburn, WA, Debbie (Rampsey) Nicholson of Confluence, PA, and Beckie (Mario) Tremblay of St. Petersburg, FL. She was the grandmother/step-grandmother of 11, and great-grandmother/step-grandmother of 13.

Her siblings are John (Cheryl) Ellenberger of Rural Valley, PA, Steve (Dolores) Ellenberger of Rural Valley, PA, the late Mike (Nancy) Ellenberger of Fort Walton Beach, FL; and Lori (Pat) Holleran of Greenville, PA.

Jan was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church in Bethel, OH. She was a nurse throughout her career retiring as the owner of a home health care company; she was a seamstress and owned a bakery for a period of time also.

Visitation will start at 9:00 a.m. at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 17, 2024. The service will be at 11:00. Interment will be private. The Megie Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, OH is serving the family.
