J.C. Toles

J.C. Toles, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Alva Sue (née Vanderpool) Toles, cherished father of Andrea Sue (Robert) Butler, Karen Lee Toles, Julie Frances (Anthony) Zimmer, and Jason Earl (Crystal) Toles, proud Papaw of Robbie (Andrea) Butler II, Andrew (Chloe) Butler, Steven Huckeby, Casey Huckeby, William Prewitt, Zach (Sue) Tolbert, Cody Tolbert, Tori Zimmer, Jonathan Toles, Justin Toles, Jaylynn Toles, and Clayton Toles, and his great grandchildren, Alexis Butler, Robbie Butler III, Audrina Butler, Jaxson Butler, Jordan Butler, Johnny Huckeby, and Hazel Tolbert, dear brother of the late Mabel (the late Ed) Vanover, the late Susie Woody, the late Joseph (Betty) Toles, Doris (the late Marty) Maly, Jim (Sally) Toles, Rita (the late Dan) Jeffers, Lonnie (the late Bonnie) Toles, and Gary Toles, and will also be missed by his fur baby, Puddin. J.C. loved animals and was often referred to as Dr. Doolittle. He made friends with the racoons around his home to the point where they would knock on the door if he wasn't out on the porch to feed them and their babies when they thought he should be. J.C. also loved music, fishing, and playing his steel guitar, as well as any other instrument he picked up. A Celebration of Life Service is being planned at a later date.
