Jeanette Eleanor Fries

Jeanette (nee Medley) Fries of Milford, OH, peacefully passed away in her sleep on February 15, 2014 at SEM Haven after a long battle with Alzheimer�s disease. Jeanette was 98 years old. Jeanette Eleanor Fries was born August 5, 1915 in Springfield, Missouri, the only daughter of John and Myrtle Medley. She attended Southwest Missouri State Teacher�s College (now Missouri State University) before moving to Bowling Green, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Fries, a lawyer and the Prosecuting Attorney for Wood County, Ohio. Jeanette went on to work at Bowling Green State University and the Medical College of Toledo. Most of her professional career was spent with Congressman Delbert Latta supporting his district office in Wood County, Ohio. She remained active in Republican politics throughout her life and was passionate about the Party and her Patriotism. Following a move to Milford, Ohio to be closer to family and grandchildren, Mrs. Fries became an active volunteer with the Milford First United Methodist Church, the Clermont County Board of Elections, the Milford Schools, SEM Haven and a number of other civic and charitable organizations. �Grandma Jeanette� loved the holidays, pets and playing the role of grandmother to all children who touched her life. Jeanette is survived by her daughter Linda Boggess, son-in-law Bill Boggess, grandchildren Brad Boggess (Chrissy) of Atlanta, GA, Brandy Wonderling (Lawrence) of Erlanger, KY, and four great grandchildren; Webster and William Boggess, along with Ellie and Anna Wonderling. Jeanette�s family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring professionals at SEM Haven for their years of dedicated and compassionate service. A Memorial service to honor her life will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Milford First United Methodist Church, 541 Main St, Milford, OH 45150.
