John William Colvin

John William Colvin, age 52, passed away quietly on October 22, 2010 with his family by his side. He was the cherished son of Ruth and the late Dana Colvin Sr., the devoted father of Carolynn and Angela Colvin, and dear brother of Michael (Marilyn), Dana Jr. (Linda), Stephen (Pat), Robert, David (Karen) and the late Andrew Colvin. He will also be deeply missed by lifelong friends James and Jeannie Glass, loving members of the Snow family and many friends and relatives. As a young man, John had worked as an electrician on Gulf of Mexico oil rigs. In his last years John greatly enjoyed his work in industrial HVAC as an employee of Triton Services. John and his brother Andrew, guitarist, were founding members of Cincinnati�s Camargo Road Band. He relished singing with the band and working as the �sound man.� John shared his family�s love of nature and outdoor adventure. In visits to Red River Gorge and other haunts, John would frequently �call in� barred owls and carry on territorial �conversations� with them. The greatest loves of his life were his cherished daughters, Carolynn and Angela. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be 6-9:00 pm, Friday, October 29, 2010 at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory, MIlford.
