John 'Buzz' W Hodges

John William Hodges ��.. �Buzz� 6/14/33-9/17/15 On the morning of September 17, 2015, John passed away peacefully at Bethesda North Hospital as the result of a sudden illness. He was 82 years old. John was born in Gosport, Indiana on June 14, 1933 to Thomas F. and Lottie S. Hodges, and was joined 3 years later by his sister, Janet all who preceded him in death. He grew up in Spencer, Indiana where he was a star athlete for the COPS basketball and baseball teams. He received both his undergraduate and Master�s degree in finance from The Indiana University School of Business, and went on to work 32 years for Proctor and Gamble as Comptroller of the Industrial Chemicals Division. He retired in the early 90�s, enabling him to devote time to his many passions including his church and the Ecumenical Healing Ministry, Bible Studies, golf, reading, puzzles, board games, euchre, watching Jeopardy, attending and watching sporting events (Kids/Grandkids, Bengals, Reds, and Hoosiers), spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, eating, and coupon clipping!! �Buzz� was truly devoted and committed to raising, interacting with, and mentoring his family. John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret, daughter Lynn (Dean) Almas, and sons John (Jeannie) and Thomas Hodges. Also surviving are grandchildren Hilary and Claire Almas; John, Jared and Joseph Hodges; Victoria, Jack and Bernadette Hodges. He was loved and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
