Joseph J. Lacks

LACKS, Joseph J., of Milford, formerly of Montgomery, passed away Saturday June 13, 2009 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Ann Lacks. Devoted father of 8 with their mother the late Kathryn Lacks; Charlene H. Mullin, Mary K. Smith (Roy), Walter J. Lacks (Kelley), James Wade, Julie A. Lacks (Donald), David C. Lacks (Maggie), Amy A. LaChausse (Joe) and Jennifer S. Wicks; and loving step father of 3; Sheryl Ann Bloomer (Ken), David D. Bradshaw (Sue) and Julie E. Cooley. �Papa Joe� was an adoring grandpa to 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Loving son of the late Walter C. and Mary (nee; Hockey) Lacks. Brother of Walter C. Lacks and the late Jean M. Ritchie and Charles E. Lacks. Joe was a WWII Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion and a graduate of WVU with a degree in civil engineering. He was a passionate community volunteer and greatly enjoyed enhancing the lives of others. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 �till 11 AM Thursday June 18th at the Sharonville United Methodist Church. Memorial services will begin at 11AM at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions in Joe�s name to either the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Cincinnati.
