Joyce Helen Campbell (Taylor), born on February 27, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, in Milford, Ohio.
Throughout her long and fulfilling life, Joyce was a person of dedication and accomplishment. She devoted over 25 years of distinguished service to the St. Petersburg Times, where her professionalism and commitment were highly respected by colleagues. Following her retirement from journalism, Joyce continued to impact her community through a decade of dedicated work at the Marjorie P. Lee retirement community, bringing compassion and a strong work ethic to all she did.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Joyce was an avid crafter, channeling her creativity and attention to detail into works that brought joy to her family and friends. She was a long-standing member of Mari Elders, engaging actively with fellow members and contributing to the vibrancy of her social circles. For the past nine years, she was a valued resident of the Sem Villa community in Milford, Ohio, where she made lasting friendships and participated fully in community life.
Joyce’s legacy is especially cherished by her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Andrew Campbell. Her memory will be held dearly by her daughters Jacqueline A. Malblanc, Jill L. Back, and Chasya E. Eshkol, each of whom reflected the values she instilled. Joyce is also survived by her sister, Stephanie Taylor. She was a proud grandmother to Timothy R. Back, Cynthia Massimiani, Alicia DiMaggio, and Jillian VanderMassimiani, and a loving great-grandmother to Maddison Linn, Malachi Linn, Sawyer VanderMerwe, Nylah VanderMerwe, Adriana Massimiani, and Christina Massimiani.
In addition to her immediate family, Joyce is preceded in death by her mother, Constance Stridsberg, and her father, Louis Taylor, whose memories she always honored.
Joyce Helen Campbell’s kindness, commitment, and creative spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her life stands as a testament to a legacy rich in family, meaningful work, and strong community.

A memorial service date will be decided at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society. The family is being cared for by Megie Funeral Home, Milford, Ohio.
