June E. Shaw (née Shiveley), a beloved matriarch renowned for her vivacious spirit and unwavering love, departed this earthly realm on January 26, 2026, in Blanchester, Ohio. Born on June 6, 1932, she graced the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and passion for life.
An industrious woman, June retired from the Hillsboro Paints Factory, embodying the values of dedication and hard work. Yet, beyond her professional pursuits, it was in the arms of her family and community that she truly flourished. A devoted member of the Buford Church of Christ, she found solace and strength in her faith, becoming a cherished figure among her fellow congregants.
June's zest for life was reflected in her myriad interests. She was an ardent lover of nature, often tending to her garden with loving hands. She enjoyed nothing more than to immerse herself in the beauty of the outdoors, celebrating each blossom as a testament to life's enduring cycle. Her enthusiasm for travel gave her further opportunities to connect with the world, allowing her to cultivate memories that she shared generously with those around her.
A passionate square dancer, June found joy in the rhythm and camaraderie of the dance floor, cherishing the moments spent with friends and fellow enthusiasts. Every Tuesday, she could be found at the Highland County Senior Center, engaging with her community, and brightening the lives of all who crossed her path. Her people-oriented nature made her a spirited companion, drawing friends and family closer, and filling their lives with laughter and joy.
June is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cynthia Moberly and Nancy (Ahren) Roach, and her son, Jeffrey Shaw. She leaves behind an impressive legacy – nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren, each bearing the imprint of her love. Gracie, her cherished fur baby, adds to the tapestry of life she has cultivated.
Though she has been reunited with those who have passed, including her first husband, Earl Shaw, and her second husband, Robert "Bob" Stephan, along with her five brothers and five sisters, and her son-in-law, Glenn Moberly, her spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
A visitation in honor of June’s life will be held at Megie Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio, on January 31, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following this, a funeral service will commence from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her remarkable journey.
June E. Shaw's legacy of love, warmth, and spirit will continue to inspire and uplift all those fortunate enough to have known her.
