Karl L. Sturtz

Karl L. Sturtz, age 91, passed away on January 18, 2020. He was the beloved husband of 69+ years to Ruth (nee' West) Sturtz, loving and fun dad of Jeff (Pam) Sturtz and Joyce (George) Mayer, proud Poppa of Michael (Ginette) Sturtz, Laurie (Todd) Mueller, Betsy (Rob) McNeese, Kathleen (Jon) Polivka, and his great grandchildren, Trevor, Theo, Logan, Anna, Emerson, Andy, Eisley, and Mason. Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Lena Sturtz. He Graduated from Ohio State in 1951 and was a member of the Ohio State football team from 1947-1950 and played in the 1950 Rose Bowl, was a member of the Village of Mariemont Church and a longtime member of the International Fellowship of Christian Businessmen. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 1:00 PM the Mariemont Community Chapel, 1 Cherry Lane, Mariemont, OH 45227. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial contributions be to directed to a charity of ones choice.
