Kendal Kleinfeldt

Kendal Currie Kleinfeldt, 77, passed away on June 29, 2018. She was the daughter of John A Currie and Virginia Hall. She is survived by her sons, John A Kleinfeldt and Richard F Kleinfeldt II, her daughters-in-law, Cheryl Kleinfeldt and Paula Anderson, and her longtime companion Edward Volke. She is survived by five grandchildren: Marika Kleinfeldt, Paige Kleinfeldt, Frances Kleinfeldt, Emily Kleinfeldt and Evan Kleinfeldt.
Born and raised in Richmond Virginia, Kendal moved to Dayton, Ohio in her 20s. Kendal was well-known in Dayton for her charm, grace, kindness and sense of style throughout her life. She was a devoted mother to John and Richard, through good times and harder times, always a loving parent, wise advisor and comrade-in-arms. She was beloved by her grandchildren, who knew her as "Mimi", for the same qualities that endeared her to her sons and to all the people who knew her.
In her public life, Kendal dedicated herself to service and human interaction - as a volunteer at Kettering Medical Center, docent at the Patterson Homestead, part owner of Dancin Duds in Oakwood, a beloved member of the team at Dayton Country Club and an active member of the Garden Club of Dayton.
All the while - Kendal was a constant source of love and affection for her children and grandchildren. We will miss her greatly.
Services will be held at the Horizon Community Church in Cincinnati on Friday, July 6. Visitation will begin at 5pm, and memorial service at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Kendal's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or www.cmtausa.org/donate/make-a-donation/.
