Kenneth "Kenny" E. Smith of Fayetteville, Ohio passed away at home on Friday, November 11, 2022, at the age of 75. He was born to the late William A. and Louise (nee Resibois) Smith Sr. on November 28, 1946, in Highland County, Ohio.


Kenny is survived by his loving siblings Connie Taylor of Hillsboro, Ohio, William (Carol) Smith Jr. of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Jeannine (Terry Hendrickson) Berger of Seattle, Washington, John Berger of Fayetteville, Ohio, Joyce (Junior Barber) Berger of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Beattle (Steve) Sandlin of Fayetteville ,Ohio, James (Susan) Berger of Fayetteville, Ohio, his adored nieces and nephews Nicky, Jessica, J.R., John, Joey, Tiffany, Zachary, Stephanie, Ronnie, Randy, James Major, Cindy, Brian, Danneille, Brian and Missy along with numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.


In addition to his parents Kenny was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years JoAnn (nee Berger) Smith, and brothers Jeffrey Berger and Donald Berger, Pokey Berger, and brother-in-law Jim Taylor.


Kenny loved to hit baseball (he could hit'em right or left), and he loved to shoot hoops, he enjoyed fishing. Kenny served in the United States Army and was a member of the St. Angela Merici Parish in Fayetteville, Ohio. Kenny retired from Steel Craft after 42 years and worked at Lowes in Milford for over 15 years.


Special thanks to Joyce and Junior who cared for Kenny the last 20 months, and all others that took the time to care for Kenny, Pat Mayhew for her companionship, and to the Hospice of Cincinnati for their help and compassion during his final days.


Friends will be received Friday, November 18, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Megie Funeral Home, 104 Spice Street, Mt. Orab, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 10:30 am at St. Angela Merici Parish, St. Patrick Chapel located at 130 Stone Ally, Fayetteville, OH 45118. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, Vera Cruz. Father Andrew Cordonnier officiating.
